The DNA,Children + Young People’s Health Resource (D-CYPHR) has been set up to improve childhood health research by exploring ways of involving families in health and genetics studies. Most diseases start in childhood, but most health research is carried out in adults. D-CYPHR wants to change this by inviting children and young people aged 0-15 in the United Kingdom (UK) to take part. D-CYPHR is designed to support research into conditions such as diabetes, mental health conditions, heart disease, rare diseases, immune conditions and many more. D-CYPHR also aims to improve the representation of children and young people from all backgrounds,to ensure that the findings of such studies are relevant for the whole UK population.
