This is a phase 3, randomised, multicentre, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial investigating the use of short term androgen deprivation therapy in the form of apalutamide (Erleada) in men on active surveillance for prostate cancer.

Start dates may differ between countries and research sites. The research team are responsible for keeping the information up-to-date.

INTERVENTIONAL

Intervention Type : DRUG
Intervention Description : Apalutamide is a selective Androgen Receptor (AR) inhibitor that binds directly to the ligand-binding domain of the AR.

Intervention Arm Group : Apalutamide 3 months + Placebo 3 months;Apalutamide 6 months;

Intervention Type : DRUG
Intervention Description : Placebo to match apalutamide

Intervention Arm Group : Placebo 6 months;
