Pulmonary embolism may only partially resolve leading to significant morbidity in the form of post embolic pulmonary hypertension. This is often not identified early enough to allow helpful modification of anticoagulation. We propose using the latest and most powerful CT and software to assess unresolved thrombi and demonstrate residual perfusion defects to help identify thoase at most risk.
