1) To develop functional imaging methods for the diagnosis, management and understanding of tumours in children and young people.
2) To correlate functional imaging with in vitro studies of the biology of tumours, in particular in vitro Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) and tumour genetics.

1. Patients for whom any magnetic resonance study is contra-indicated. 2. Patients aged more than their 25th birthday at diagnosis. 3. Adults who do not have the physical or mental capacity to consent for themselves.
