Vaccination of pregnant women is suboptimal with about a third of pregnant women missing out on their routine pertussis vaccination, and more missing their seasonal influenza vaccination. Maternity services now offer vaccination, but there are huge discrepancies in vaccine coverage across the country. The MAVIS Study aims to find out how to improve maternity service vaccination delivery and address inequity issues. This application is for project 2, which involves a national survey and interviews with maternity service healthcare professionals (HCPs) about vaccination barriers and facilitators and what could be improved.
