Diseases of liver

We will establish a prospective database of individuals with all stages of alcohol related liver disease (ArLD), including people at risk of ArLD (i.e. people who drink hazardously) but who have not yet developed overt disease. Medical outcomes will be captured through the use of electronic national health records, to minimise loss to follow up and the requirement for participants to attend study visits.This study will establish high quality epidemiological data and provide a valuable research resource for scientific investigation of this common condition.
